Virgin Atlantic partners EWGA

Virgin Atlantic – the long-haul airline which flies golf clubs free – has become a partner of the English Women’s Golf Association and will support the 2010 English Counties’ Championship.
The tournament involves all 35 English counties and begins with six regional County Match Weeks which will be played next June. The regional winners will go forward to the national final in September to find England’s champion county.
Virgin Atlantic has been taking an increasingly prominent position in the golf world and was the official airline sponsor of the European Ryder Cup team on the last two occasions the match was played in the USA. Last year the airline moved into tournament golf, backing the popular PGA National Pro-Am Championship.

June 7-11
Midlands North Region at Kenwick Park GC, Lincolnshire (Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Shropshire and Staffordshire).
South Region at East Sussex National GC. (Hampshire, Kent, Middlesex, Surrey, Sussex)
South West Region at Saltford GC, Somerset. (Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire).
June 14-18
Midlands South Region at Goring & Streatley GC, Berkshire. (Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire & Herefordshire)
East Region at West Herts GC. (Bedfordshire, Cambs & Hunts, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, Suffolk).
June 28- July 2
