Regions
For administration, County Golf Competition and communication to golf clubs the English Women’s Golf Association is divided into six regions and embraces the 35 English Counties:
|
East Region: Bedfordshire |
Midlands North Region: Derbyshire |
|
Midlands South Region: Berkshire |
North Region: Cheshire |
|
South Region: Hampshire |
South West Region: Cornwall |
Each region has a chairman and the six regional chairmen make up the Operational Board and represent the views and work on behalf of the counties and clubs that make up their region.
Each region must hold 4 meetings per year and each county has a representative who is responsible for communicating with golf clubs and ensuring two-way communication between the Operational Board, Regional Committee and Golf Clubs.
Inter County Golf in England is played between the counties that make up the region and an inter county match week is held to determine the 6 counties that compete in County Finals and become County Champions.
